THE LEAD:
Wilson College rallied to score six runs over the final two innings to stun Dean College and grab the nightcap as part of a doubleheader sweep in non-league baseball action on Sunday afternoon on the campus of Mount Saint Mary's.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN GAME 1:
The Phoenix got an RBI double from Juan Rosario and a two-run single from KJ Curry to help build an early 4-0 lead on their way to a convincing, 8-1 victory in the opener.

Dean's lone run came in the fourth inning when a Landon Fish (New Port Richey, Fla.) sacrifice fly scored Andrew DiRito (Plymouth, Mass.) who got on board with a one-out single.

Wilson added four more runs over the next two innings, highlighted by a two-run single by Jacob Wittington in the fifth.

Jason Bottone (Derby, Conn.) took the loss for the Bulldogs, allowing five hits and four runs (two earned) in three innings of work.

Matt Callahan (Attleboro, Mass.) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles for the Dean offense.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN GAME 2:
Unlike the opener, it was Dean who got their offense rolling early in the nightcap. The Bulldogs pushed home single runs in the first and second and then added three more in the third as Callahan homered and Fish drove in another with an RBI single.

Dean looked to be in cruise control heading into the bottom of the sixth with a 6-1 lead but a two-run double from Drew Farrell and then a two-run single from Eric Holz had the Phoenix within striking distance at 6-5.

Wilson then sealed the comeback victory with two outs in the seventh when Dean Mercer and James Husar delivered RBI singles, with Husar driving home the game-winning run.

Callahan was 3-for-3 with two walks for Dean, who also got two hits from Matthew Troy (Danbury, Conn.).

Dean is back in action on Tuesday, March 10 when they face William Peace University in Cary, N.C. First pitch is slated for 7:00 PM.
