Host William Peace exploded for ten runs in the sixth inning and the Pacers posted a 13-3 win over Dean College in non-league baseball action at the USA Baseball Complex on Tuesday evening.

Dean actually jumped out to a 1-0 lead courtesy of an RBI single from Andrew DiRito (Plymouth, Mass.) that plated Matt Callahan (Attleboro, Mass.), who led off the game with a single.

The Pacers evened the game in the bottom of the frame off of Bulldog starter Tyler McAloon (Berkeley, Mass.) with a run-scoring double off of the bat of Hunter Ward.

The game was still knotted at 1-1 in the fifth when Dean opened the inning with singles from Giuseppe Casabianca (Yonkers, N.Y.), Ben Chajet (Hillsboro Beach, Fla.) and finally from Brian Dovidio (Ramsey, N.J.), who broke the tie with his third RBI of the season.

Things changed dramatically in the bottom of the sixth when William Peace scored ten runs on seven hits, highlighted by a two-run double from Tyshawn Barrett and a two-run triple from Logan Barbour.

Now in front 11-2, the Pacers tacked on two unearned runs in the seventh before Dean got one run back in the eighth on a Bryce Reilly (Dover, N.H.) sacrifice fly.

Callahan led Dean with a 3-for-4 day from the leadoff spot. McAloon took the loss for Bulldogs, going five innings, allowing five earned runs while fanning seven.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they face the Pacers at 4:00 PM.
