Jacob Godfrey
came off the bench and finished with a monster double-double to lead visiting Thomas College to a hard-fought 81-75 win over Dean College in non-league men's basketball action on Tuesday afternoon.

The win for the Terriers shoots their record to 4-1, while Dean has lost five straight after winning their first two contests this season.

Godfrey connected on 13 of his 20 shots to post 29 points and add 16 rebounds – nine of which were on the offensive end.

The contest, which featured eight ties and 12 lead changes, saw both teams shoot the ball at nearly 50 percent, but the Terriers held a 43-33 edge on the glass and rode Godfrey's interior performance to a 34-8 edge in points in the paint.

Thomas led by as many as ten points in the first half, but Dean worked the lead down and after a pair of free throws from Jordan Lynch-Rexroth (Harrisburg, Pa.), they knotted the score at 75-75 with 3:27 left to play. The Bulldogs never scored again, however, and a basket from the Terriers' Jordan Goodson and a three-pointer from Justin Butler put the game away.

Jordan Booker
(Waterbury, Conn.) totaled a team-best 26 points, five rebounds and six assists, while Lynch-Rexroth added a career-best 20 points and nine rebounds.

Avion Bloe (Providence, R.I.) came off the bench and helped spark the offense, particularly in the first half and ended with five points and six assists.

Dean is back in action on Sunday, December 1 when they visit Salve Regina for a 1:00 PM tipoff.
